Nike Golf is keeping things in the family – the Woods family. The company has signed Cheyenne Woods to a multi-year, equipment and apparel deal. Cheyenne Woods is Tiger Woods’ niece. She’s making her professional debut at this week’s Wegman’s LPGA Championship.

Just in case you think this is a matter of appeasing Eldrick, think again. Cheyenne Woods, who shot an opening round 75 yesterday at the LPGA Championship, is a two-time college All-America at Wake Forest University and the 2011 ACC women’s golf champion.
In her senior year, Woods finished with the lowest single-season scoring average in school history at 73.47. She is one of three players in school-history to post three under-par rounds at the same tournament and had the third-most rounds (36) at par or better in school-history.
Woods has qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open in July and will participate in LPGA Q-School later this year.
