Cobra’s colorful AMP driver is in tune with technology (VIDEO)

Cobra Golf’s new AMP driver features the company’s familiar E9 Face Technology with dual roll and AMP Speed Tuning, delivering customized distance and accuracy to golfers around the world. True to the Cobra culture, the AMP driver also brings color to the fore (pardon the pun) with black PVD and orange details on the shaft, club head and grip. There’s no way to miss this driver in someone’s bag.

The AMP (Advanced Material Placement) driver also features Adjustable Flight Technology, which Cobra says provides golfers with the option to set the face angle as Open, Neutral or Closed to optimize ball flight for better distance and accuracy.

The Aldila RIP Speed Tuned shafts have progressive weight design and El flex profiles that customize performance for various swing speeds. Tom Preece, vice president of research and development for Cobra Golf, says AMP Speed Tuning works in conjunction with the shaft to optimize each loft differently to deliver the best performance for a given club head speed.

The AMP driver is also available in an offset design to reduce the effects of a slice. Cobra is one of the few companies that still offer an offset driver – good for players who have a tendency to slice the ball.

Watch and listen as Preece goes talks about the design and technology behind the Amp driver.
