The Idea Super XTD hybrid from from Adams Golf
Adams Golf has been a leader in the hybrid market for the past several years. The new Idea Super XTD hybrid line of the company’s most technologically advanced to date. Adams Golf President and CEO Chip Brewer takes us through the XTD technology, which featuring a new multi-material brazed construction technology that attaches a titanium face and crown to a stainless steel sole to produce a hybrid with the performance, according to Brewer – of today’s drivers. The XTD hybrid’s face, Brewer says, is 36 percent hotter than a traditional hybrid resulting in higher ball speeds and increased distance gains.
By using its Velocity Slot Technology along with optimal materials and construction techniques, Brewer says engineers deliver the CT of a driver while simultaneously producing one of the lowest possible centers of gravity (CG). This combination, according to Brewer, increases ball speed, increases launch angle and reduces spin rates.
The result, Brewer says, is the most advanced and hottest hybrid on the market – and good for players of all swing speeds.
