Review: Volvik’s Vista ball a pleasantly surprising performer

It’s not often that a golf ball from outside the mainstream has a chance to make a name for itself. It’s usually non-conforming to USGA rules or a non-performer. Not so with Volvik’s Vista golf ball. Understand that Volvik balls have been around for years and are best known for their bright colors, but the four-piece Vista is a ball that performs as well as any golf ball off the tee and around the greens.

The ball, available in four colors including white, features a Zirconium Z-I cover and a dual core that has a soft outer layer and hard inner core to go along with its 392-dimple design.

The Volvik Vista ($45.95 per dozen) is particularly popular on the LPGA TourChella Choi tied for second at the recent RACV Ladies Masters in Australia with a Volvik Vista ball. But don’t think the Vista is a “ladies” ball. The Vista is a ball for everyone.

Give it a try. You might be surprised.
