Callaway Golf’s new HEX Chrome+ golf ball is now available at a suggested retail price of $35.99 per dozen. The HEX probably is one of the more underrated series of balls on the market. If you haven’t tried a HEX ball, you should.
Callaway says the HEX Chrome+ is a “Tour performance” ball that delivers high ball speeds for maximum distance at mid to high club head speeds, especially with the driver. Callaway staffer Gary Woodland, one of the longer hitters on the PGA Tour, recently put a version of the ball in play.
This new four-piece ball’s dual mantle, according to Callaway, unlocks distance by increasing speed and minimizing spin off the tee, while the soft TPU cover promotes control and feel.
“HEX Chrome+ is hands down the fastest Tour ball we’ve ever designed at Callaway,” said Dave Bartels, senior director
for golf ball R&D at Callaway. “What makes the distance of this ball special is that is achieves that distance and features a soft DuraSpin cover. This urethane cover material not only has great durability, but provides exceptional ‘Tour-level’ control around the green that the best players in the world demand in a premium ball.”
