Tiger Woods puts Nike VRS Covert 3 wood in play at Masters

The ball – and club – is now in Nike Golf’s court. Tiger Woods is playing Nike Golf’s new VRS Covert 3 wood (15 degrees) at this week’s Masters.  Woods put Nike Golf’s VRS Covert 5 wood (19 degrees) in play earlier this year at the WGC-Cadillac
Championship at Doral.

Nike Golf's VRS Covert 3 wood

The Striped One had been playing with Nike Golf’s VR Pro Limited 3 wood and 5 wood prior to the switch. Woods still plays with Nike Golf’s VR Tour driver (8.5 degrees).

It will be interesting to see how Nike Golf’s marketing mavens take advantage of Woods using two of their new clubs.  Regardless of whether Woods or loses the 2013 Masters, this is Nike Golf’s best opportunity in more than a decade to make hay ($$$) of the clubs he plays.
