Adams Golf’s new Speedline Tech driver will be available later this month with a shelf price of around $399. The multi-material driver features an aerodynamic shaping and is fully customizable with adjustable components. It’s the first driver Adams Golf has unveiled since it was acquired by Taylormade-adidas Golf this past spring and one of several products Adams is expected to launch within the next few months.
The company says the Tech driver’s multi-material design includes a lightweight titanium body with a composite wing attached to the outer skirt of the driver’s crown – an industry first. Adams Golf says its engineers conducted research of thousands of golfers that shows the “real sweet spot” or impact zone is actually towards the toe and heel areas of the face.
The face design of the Speedline Tech involves vertical and horizontal gear effect that Adams Golf says creates improved bulge and roll for optimal spin as the ball launches off the face.
