What Happens When a Mid-80s Shooter Goes to the (Taylor Made) MATT

My colleague at TheAPosition.com, Jeff Wallach, has been known to finish one of his gigs as a whitewater rafting guide and play golf barefoot with six clubs as a transition back to civilized existence. He gets enough pleasure from golf that all the fuss over high-tech equipment tends to produce a shrug from the guy. Or, it did. Things changed when the guy stopped in at TaylorMade’s science-fair of a clubfitting setup, the MATT (Motion Analysis by TaylorMade) studio in Portland, Oregon, a few years ago. Well, he’s one-upped most of us gear freaks and gone for a MATT re-fit. Here’s Jeff’s account of how that all went down.
