Zach Johnson’s victory at John Deere Classic caps big week for Titleist

Zach Johnson won the John Deere Classic with a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball, Titleist AP2 (712) irons. Runner-up Troy Matteson also used a Pro V1 golf ball.

It was one of four wins last weekend by Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x players, including Roger Chapman (Pro V1) at the U.S. Senior Open. Doug LaBelle II (Pro V1x) won the Web.com Tour and Chris Killmer (Pro V1x) won on the Canadian Tour.

Titleist golf ball players have won 96 times across the worldwide professional tours so far this season, eight times the nearest competitor with 12 and more than all other golf balls combined.

Titleist also currently tops the worldwide win count in every major equipment category: Drivers (30); fairway metals (32); hybrids (28); iron sets (35); sand, lob and approach wedges (48); and putters (34).

The seeding process for the new Titleist 913 drivers continued for the third week at the John Deere Classic with 21 players putting it in play, eight more than last week.
