Meet Scott Kauffman

Scott Kauffman is the world’s leading journalist on golf course real estate and luxury resort-style development, featuring more than 20 years of full-time newspaper, magazine, broadcast and public relations experience. After working as a Staff Writer for USA TODAY, The Orlando Sentinel and The Golfweek Group from 1990-2004, Kauffman started his own communications company, Aloha Media Group LLC, to focus on golf and resort-style real estate.

The University of Hawaii graduate has written for more than 25 national golf and luxury lifestyle publications, including Tee it Up Golf and Texas Golfer, Links, Fairway Living, Robb Report Vacation Homes and Robb Report Collection, Golf Connoisseur, Nicklaus, Executive Golfer, Private Air, Luxury Living and Florida Travel & Life and Ocean Home.  He has started signature Links Living columns for Links magazine, Unique Homes, Estates West and the Real Estate Channel, and currently serves as a Senior Columnist for the RealEstateChannel.com, Contributing Editor to Golf Inc. magazine and regular contributor to Urban Land and Ocean Home.

In addition to being a founding member of TheAPosition.com, Kauffman also has co-authored several golf-related books and collaborated with numerous high-profile golf and real estate clients such as The Worthington Group, Bonita Bay Group, Tavistock Group, Marriott Golf and the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy. For the past year, Kauffman has served as an Assistant Dean of Admission/External Program Development for Montverde Academy, an acclaimed independent private college preparatory school that his two daughters attend (www.montverde.org). Located less than 30 minutes from downtown Orlando, Disney World and Tiger Woods, Montverde Academy is the exclusive school for the Gary Gilchrist Golf Academy, an elite junior golf training academy located at nearby Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort (www.ggga.com).

Kauffman keeps his pulse on the real estate industry as a licensed Florida real estate broker and runs his own independent commercial real estate brokerage firm (Aloha Realty Group LLC).
