The European Tour starts its British leg of the rescheduled season after the opening two events in Austria and returns to the northeast of England and Close House the venue of the 2017 British Masters.

Close House opened for play in 2011, the Lee Westwood Championship Colt course sits in 200 acres of beautiful Northumberland countryside. Designed by Scott Macpherson and named after the great Harry Colt, Scott spent eighteen months researching golf course designs by the great Harry Colt, and embedded that knowledge in his blueprints to create a modern Colt style course for Close House in honour of the great architect.
