The European Tour returns this week with the Dubai Invitational a new tournament added to this years schedule, which will be played at the Dubai Creek Golf Club, that hosted the Dubai Desert Classic back in 1999 and 2000 won by David Howell and José Coceres respectively.
The course was designed by Thomas Bjorn in 1993 and as you can imagine from the course name the Dubai creek and marina feature prominently. Located along the banks of the city’s famous river, the well-kept fairways are surrounded by date palms and coconut trees. The water hazards and shrubs give the championship course its tropical feel.
