Headin' to Vegas to see The Golf Guru
My friend Jeff Wallach, from The A Position, and esteemed Road Warrior, is coming to Las Vegas to participate in none other then a soccer tournament. Other then playing golf, I had no idea Jeff was involved in participating in another sport. Also, I had no idea that there were in fact soccer leagues for middle aged guys who probably take so long running up and down the soccer field it gives the paramedics a decent chance to get to the field before any real harm is done and to supply well-needed oxygen.
What I’m really excited about is that it looks like me, Jeff and a few of his buddies will be able to get together and play some golf. Having never met Jeff, I look forward to some congenial conversation and some spirited competition on the links. Win, lose or draw (I certainly don’t expect to lose) I look forward to creating some good memories, sharing some good stories and telling some funny jokes, to bonding, to enjoying a beautiful day outdoors on a beautiful golf course….who the hell am I kidding? Jeff, remember the old saying, “Fast pay makes for fast friends.” Bring cash!
