What is it about the Greens at the US Senior Open?

Yesterday I was watching the 3rd round of the US Senior Open as these amazing professionals were missing putts like the foursome I’m in that plays Jefferson Park.  Of course it’s completely different because the greens here at as fast as water peeling off a brand new Lexus coming through the high speed air blowers of a car wash.

But then Peter Senior stood up at the interview center and said that the putting was very difficult.  So I asked him about it and he said “it’s the different spot colors of the greens make it very hard to get a read.”  All of a sudden it made complete sense to me and yes that would make it very hard to read the greens.
