TaylorMade-adidas Golf’s Ashworth Golf brand is best known for its apparel, but don’t overlook Ashworth’s footwear, especially as father’s Day approaches. Ashworth’s Cardiff line of spikeless shoes is among the best on the market – and at a good price of around $100 per pair on shelves.
The company says the Cardiff’s spikeless platform provides more than adequate stability and traction (dry and wet environments) with traction lugs of varying sizes designed to deliver optimal grip in all conditions even for the most competitive golfers.
Since its introduction in June 2011, TMaG says the Cardiff has proven to be a resounding success. The shoe has outsold its original forecast and been seen on the PGA Tour (Sean O’ Hair).
“The Cardiff sold more than double the original forecast and each of the past six months we’ve exceeded monthly sales and margin goals,” said Bill Price, vice president of global footwear for TMaG.
The Cardiff is offered in medium width and for 2012 will be available in five colorways: Iron/White/Toro; Tan/Black/Gum; and White/White/Dark Marine on July 1.
