Cutter & Buck’s Annika Collection is 10 years old
Cutter & Buck’s Annika Collection is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The ANNIKA Collection was launched in 2004 shortly after LPGA legend Annika Sorenstam competed against the professional male golfers on the PGA Tour – the first woman to do so in six decades.
Since that time, the ANNIKA Collection has proven to be as enduring and successful as its namesake – with three deliveries each season. Much like her relentless pursuit of perfection throughout her career, on or off the course, Sorenstam, by the way, meets frequently with the Cutter & Buck design team to discuss the line and provide her input on everything in each collection.
“We approached her about creating a Tournament Collection for the Colonial, and what started as a pro sponsorship has now evolved into a long-term partnership — a perfect pairing of Cutter & Buck’s renowned quality and world-class design, with Annika’s unique perspective, hands-on, fashion-forward approach,” said Jake Rawson, Cutter & Buck’s global director of sales-golf.
For Fall 2014, the ANNIKA Collection will be introducing three deliveries – Amazonia, Cobalt Skies and Something in a Mesh. Each piece, according to the company, is designed with maximum functionality and playability, matched with unique design, flattering fit and sporty style. The collection includes long sleeved full- and half-zip outerwear, sweaters, vests, polos and bottoms, including shorts, skorts and pants. Most are in technical fabrics, in a combination of polyester and spandex, geared to top performance.
One of the iconic pieces in the ANNIKA Collection is the new CB DryTec S/L Roxie Mock. This striking sleeveless performance mock neck features a bright zipper with pops of color and moisture-wicking poly/spandex jersey with UPF 30+ UV protection.
To complement the Roxie, the Collection introduces a CB DryTec Quinn Skort, a moisture-wicking poly/spandex skort that features utility styling, angled front pockets, a back single welt pocket, and bling zippers. It is available in Onyx (dark grey-black) with Refresh (hot pink) contrast pocket zippers.
Another pair in this collection starts with the CB SunTec L/S Ayra Mock, a long-sleeve half-zip in Marine (cobalt blue) with a bold metallic print on the front panel. The Ayra also features moisture-wicking poly interlock jacquard with UPF 50+ UV protection, a mock neck with exposed metallic coil zipper and chin guard, and deep cuff piecing with thumbholes.
