I was looking through the TaylorMade Tour Rep notes from Kapalua a couple of days ago and saw a note in there about Jim Furyk that was interesting. This is a top-ranked tour star with every equipment resource in the world available to him, and according to the TMaG notes Furyk had been “searching for a three-wood for years,” one he could hit consistently, that is. So since he’s already playing their Burner SuperFast driver, the Man with Loop decided to add a Burner SuperFast 2.0 fairway wood for the first time. Looks like it may stay in there a while–Furyk casually remarked that it’s “the best fairway wood I’ve played in a while.”
