Kuchar’s switch to Rife putter pays off at Masters

Matt Kuchar

Rife Putters is a good example of a small-to-medium size company that makes terrific product. So it’s good to see it success on a large stage. Matt Kuchar used a Rife Black Island Series Belly Barbados putter to finish tied for third at the Masters. Kuchar, who used a Rife putter in 2010, switched back to a Rife the week before this month’s Masters.

More than 100 players, between the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, use Rife putters, each of which features the company’s RollGroove Technology. That technology allows each putter to have a horizontal grooved face with spaced grooves that allow the putter press the cover of the ball and grip it and lift it into an instant forward roll.

This year’s Rife putter line includes Island Series models Abaco, Aruba, Barbados, Cayman Brac and Trinidad. Each of the putters is available in a Standard Silver Finish of Rife’s terrific new Tropical Finish- a gunmetal-like finish that creates a rainbow effect depending on how the light hits it.
