Jiyai Shin won last week’s Ricoh Women’s British Open with a Titleist ProV1 golf balls. The Acushnet Company’s Titleist brand won the event ball count with 100 players in the field (69 percent) playing a Titleist golf ball.
On the Champions Tour, Willie Wood played a Titleist Pro V1x to win the inaugural Hawaii Championship for his second Champions Tour victory in the last three events. Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event with 56 players (69%) in the field of 81, seven times the nearest competitor with eight. Titleist was also the top choice in the wedge (56) category.
