It’s not often that a golf shoe steals the show at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, but FootJoy’s new M:Project might do it. The M:Project shoe is the most lightweight golf shoe I have ever tried on. In fact, it fits more like a slipper than a golf, but is constructed strong enough for event the fastest of golf swings.

M:Project shoes are available in five cleated and five spikeless styles, with suggested retail prices beginning at $135 per pair.
M:Project shoes are what FootJoy calls “minimally constructed” to deliver maximum feel and real-time feedback.
“At FootJy we believe that there is no single shoe that is best suited for every type of player which is why our Footwear team develops products with specific types of players in mind.” said Mike Foley, director of marketing for Footjoy. “The M:PROJECT is the perfect extension to FootJoy’s performance lineup. It’s a new category that targets players seeking lower profile, minimalist-type footwear. Not only does the player get a better sense of the ground beneath them, they also are more tuned-in to the movement of their lower half throughout the swing.”
Each of the cleated models feature FootJoy’s M:SPEC leather. One of the models also features the company’s BOA Closure system. Three of the five spikeless models are offered with high performance mesh upper construction.
