An update on me: Private practice and a foray into Golf Law

Gabriel S. Garcia, Esq.

On April 1st of this year, I returned to the private practice of law.  In my new role as Senior Counsel at Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard (“Kronick”), I am using my practice to help build the firm’s Silicon Valley office, located in downtown San Jose, California.  I currently counsel business, real estate, and healthcare clients on a wide range of corporate transactions and general business matters.

I am especially proud to be involved in Kronick’s emerging Golf Law practice group, a legal sub-specialty tailored to clients in the golf course, resort, and private club industry.  The group leverages the firm’s renowned water law expertise with its other services lines to handle a variety of legal issues affecting owners and operators.  The Golf Law practice is also leading an effort to assemble industry leaders and lawmakers to explore and support sustainable golf initiatives.

Outside the law, I will continue writing and blogging on various legal, business and cultural aspects of the game.  I will also continue my involvement with nonprofit, public benefit organizations that support golf, such as the San Francisco Public Golf Alliance (“SFPGA”).  The SFPGA’s mission to save and restore beloved golf courses in the San Francisco Bay Area is a worthwhile cause that strengthens our community through a sustained commitment to public golf.
