Odyssey putters enter PGA Championship on a roll

The hottest company going into this week’s PGA Championship might be Callaway Golf, in particular its Odyssey putter brand. The brand picked up three more wins across the world this past weekend, including Keegan Bradley’s victory with a White Hot XG Sabertooth Long Putter, at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. Bradley is the defending PGA champion and, Tiger Woods aside, should be considered among the favorites at the Ocean Course.

The three victories continue a winning streak for Odyssey that includes three PGA Tour wins, including Ernie Els’ Open victory at Royal Lytham, and six worldwide  in the past three weeks. Odyssey goes into the PGA Championship with 31 worldwide wins this season, including 18 wins over the past 11 weeks.

At the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, OH, an Odyssey White Hot XG Sabertooth Long Putter rallied late to win on the 72ndhole with a clutch, 18-foot par putt. Odyssey led the putter count at Firestone with 42.3 percent usage in the field. In addition, according to Callaway Golf, 22 of the 33 Odyssey putters in play were used by non-staffers, meaning these players are not compensated for using Odyssey products.

Elsewhere, J.J. Henry won the Reno-Tahoe Open with a White Hot XG #1 Belly Putter and Bernhard Langer won the TPC Twin Cities event on the Champions Tour with an Odyssey White Hot 2-Ball Long Putter.
