Boat Pose for More Power

Boat Pose (Navasana)

Boat Pose (Navasana) is a challenging posture that strengthens the abdominals.   Start in a seated position with the knees bent.  Gently balance on the sit bones.  The hands can remain on the bent knees for those who are new to the posture.  As you advance, try lengthening the legs and eventually release the hands to the side of the body.  (Be very mindful of the lower back.  If there is any discomfort, stop immediately.) Take 5-10 deep breaths and then release.

Enjoy a stronger torso, better golf posture, injury prevention, increased club head speed and much more as you apply the strengthening benefits of Boat Pose to your golf game.
