Take a Seat for Better Golf

Revolved Chair Pose (Prakritti Utkanasana) is a great posture for developing leg strength and increasing flexibility in the spine. . . A great combination for improving distance, accuracy and injury prevention in golf.

Begin standing with your feet together.  Slowly bend your knees into chair pose to the point of being challenged (but not experiencing any joint pain). Next, slowly rotate to the backswing side and either hook your hand, arm or elbow to the outside of the leg.  Hold for 5-10 deep breaths and then repeat on the follow-through side.
