If you stand at one end of Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore and laser the far end of the place you’ll discover you probably need driver and a mid-iron to reach it– although you’ll have to carry your shot over hazards such as the bag section, women’s apparel, balls, gloves, hats, clubhead covers, ball markers, every kind of golf club imaginable, and a fair number of other golf paraphernalia that you never even knew existed. This afternoon the Golf Road Warriors made a sortie through the store, dividing and conquering as Dave Gould used the re-spiking services in the front of the store, Bob Fagan and I purchased our favorite Hirzl golf gloves (my last one just wore out after approximately 19 months!), Jim Frank bought a New York Jets putter cover, and we wandered aimlessly and delightedly through miles of aisles of items to covet. More than 60,000 square feet of golf gear awaits your visit– and while you’re at it, check out the kiosk where you can make last-minute, discounted tee times at a variety of Myrtle Beach courses.
